Tyumen Cardiology Center, TNIMC RAS

In 1983, on the initiative of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, the USSR Ministry of Health decided to organize, from January 1, 1984, a cardiology clinic in the Tomsk branch of the All-Union Cardiology Scientific Center of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences in Tyumen.

The founding fathers are the outstanding academicians of the RAS E.I. Chazov, R.S. Karpov, first secretary of the regional party committee G.P. Bogomyakov.

The opening of the cardiology clinic took place on May 21, 1985 and was a major event in the life of not only the city, but also the region.

In December 1985, by a decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the clinic of the Tomsk branch of the Scientific Center of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences was transformed into an independent branch of the Central Scientific Center of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. In February 1988, due to the need to rapidly expand and deepen scientific research in the field of cardiology in the Tyumen North and the lack of existing cardiological care in the region, by decision of the USSR Ministry of Health, the branch of the USSR Scientific Center for Medical Sciences in the city of Tyumen was transformed into an independent institute and transferred to the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR . The transformed institution, called the Research Institute of Clinical and Preventive Cardiology, became the coordinator of research in the Tyumen North. In 1998, by the decision of the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences ( SB RAMS ), the Research Institute of Clinical and Preventive Cardiology was reorganized into the Branch of the Research Institute of Cardiology of the Tomsk Scientific Center SB RAMS "Tyumen Cardiology Center". In 2016, the center became part of the Tomsk Scientific Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences .

At different times, the Cardiocenter was headed by prominent scientists and leaders who made a great contribution to the development of science and the organization of cardiological care in the country: A. A. Buganov (1984-1986), Y. S. Vasiltsev (1986-1988), Antonov O.S. (1988-1991). In 1991-2017 The director of the cardiocenter was MD, professor, honored worker of science of the Russian Federation V. A. Kuznetsov. Since 2017, the Acting Director of the TSCC has been the Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation M. I. Bessonova. ^[one]

• development, testing and implementation of effective methods for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in residents of the Tyumen region;
• the study of the adaptation of the cardiovascular system to local climatic conditions, the rotational method of labor organization with the development of measures to control and correct the phenomena of adaptation;
• development of the scientific basis for the organization of a specialized cardiology service, taking into account the specific forms of organization of production and the climatic conditions of the region.

Particular attention has always been directed to creating the conditions for the search and development of fundamentally new methods for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

In 1988, the first coronaroangiography was performed, in 1995, for the first time in the Tyumen region , operations were performed using the methods of transluminal balloon coronary angioplasty and stenting of the coronary arteries, later high-tech care for heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) and chronic heart failure was developed. Today, methods of radiofrequency ablation are widely used, devices with different functions are implanted, including for cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Specialists and employees of the center regularly conduct scientific and practical events at all levels, from regional to international, as well as educational seminars, schools, round tables for practitioners in the city, region and surrounding areas.
