Biography

He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University (1963). Student A.A. Ilyushin .

Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1966), the theme of the candidate's dissertation: “On the issue of nonlinear viscoelasticity” [1] . Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences (1971), topic of his doctoral dissertation: “Methods of thermo-viscous-elasticity” [2] . In 1978 he was awarded the title of professor.

Founder (1987), Department of Composites Mechanics, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Moscow State University and its head.

He taught at Moscow State University, gave lecture courses for undergraduate and graduate students “Continuum Mechanics”, “Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity”, “Calculation Methods”, special courses on various issues of mechanics of a deformable solid, thermodynamics of a continuum, computational mechanics and tensor analysis. He directed special seminars on the mechanics of a deformable solid, numerical methods in the theory of elasticity and plasticity, and the mechanics of composites.

He prepared 44 candidates and 6 doctors of sciences.

Member of the Presidium of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences for Strength and Plasticity. Chairman of the specialized council at Moscow State University for the awarding of candidate and doctoral degrees in the field of 01.02.04 - mechanics of a deformable solid; 02/01/06 - dynamics, strength of machines, instruments and equipment.

Elected member of the Russian National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (1994).

Member of the editorial boards of the journals Izvestia RAN. Solid Mechanics ”,“ Mechanics of Composite Materials ”,“ Computational Mechanics of a Solid ”,“ Journal of Composite Materials and Structures ”,“ Bulletin of Moscow University. Series 1. Mathematics and Mechanics . "

Author and co-author of about 200 scientific papers.

Scientific Interests

Fundamental results in the field of mechanics of a deformable solid. He belongs to a new formulation of the problem of the mechanics of a deformable solid in stresses and the corresponding new variational principle, the formulation of the related problems of thermomechanics, taking into account heat generation during deformation. He constructed the theory of defining relations in the form of anisotropic tensor operators.

He introduced justified options for the destruction criteria of anisotropic and inhomogeneous materials. Found analytical expressions for effective moduli of elasticity, ductility, relaxation and creep nuclei, and plasticity functions for layered and unidirectional fiber composites with perfect and non-ideal contact components.

He proposed effective numerical methods for solving spatial problems of the theory of elasticity, viscoelasticity, plasticity, methods for calculating the microstresses of elastic, viscoelastic and elastoplastic composites based on the averaging method.
