Hockey Games is a Russian television film produced by Avatar Film, with the participation of the Hockey Legends club, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the legendary super series of USSR games - Canada . The premiere took place on the Russia 2 channel on September 3, 2012 .

Content
Story
The film “Hockey Games” is about the hockey super series of 1972, one of the most striking episodes in the annals of domestic sports. For the first time, the film tells about the characters, fates, difficult relationships and many years of confrontation between great coaches, two masters - Anatoly Tarasov and Vsevolod Bobrov, who brought Soviet hockey to the world level. The periods of life of Anatoly Tarasov and Vsevolod Bobrov in the film are shown from young years to adulthood.
The film covers time from 1947 to 1972. The plot of the "Hockey Games" is based on the memories of the direct participants in the events. The picture is partially based on documentary materials, the film shows the famous shots of the sports chronicle of those years.

- The working title of the film had several options: “Hockey” and “Hockey that changed the world.”
- The film was shot in early 2012 in Moscow. The film was shot in historical interiors, in summer cottages of Moscow Region and on the miraculously preserved ice platforms of Moscow and the region, which were built in the 1970s [2] .
- Finding well-preserved portraits of Lenin and Stalin for filming was harder than getting retro cars.
- According to the memoirs, Vsevolod Bobrov and Anatoly Tarasov were big lovers of the bath. Even the most important meetings were sometimes transferred to the steam room. In one of the scenes of the Hockey Games film, the guests of Tarasov’s bath are his friend and neighbor, basketball coach Alexander Gomelsky and Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko.

- The interiors of the 1940-1960 era, the authors of the painting "Hockey Games" had to be recreated mainly from photographs and drawings.
