Al Fateh was founded on October 8, 1958 and is one of the oldest football clubs in Al Hasa. Despite this, the club has not played at the highest level for 50 years. In the 1998/99 season, he became the winner of the Second Division and entered the First [1] . However , two years later, again flew into the third most important league of Saudi Arabia [2] . Al-Fateh spent the next two seasons there, in 2003 again winning a place in the First Division [3] . According to the results of the 2008/09 championship, a team from Al-Hasa entered the Saudi main league for the first time in its history [4] .
In the debut season at the highest level, Al-Fateh played the role of the middle pro-League [5] . After the first half of the 2010/11 championship, the club ended up in the relegation zone, but then managed to rectify the situation, finishing in ninth place [6] .
In the 2012/13 season , Al Fateh was a sensation for the Saudi championship. After a draw in the first round, he issued a series of seven consecutive wins, gaining a foothold on top of the standings. The team was able not only to stay on it, but also increased its lead from second place to 8 points. Al-Fateh’s top scorer in that tournament was with 17 goals Congolese striker Doris Fuacumputu , who finished second on the championship’s list [7] . This success allowed the club to debut in the Asian Champions League in 2014 . Al-Fateh failed internationally, taking last place in the group with the Iranian Fulad , the Uzbek Bunyodkor and the Qatari Al-Jaish . Moreover, the team managed to score for the first time only in the fifth round. In the national championship, her affairs were also not much better: the reigning champion again began to play the usual middle-aged role. At the end of the season, Al-Fateh left his head coach, the Tunisian Fathi al-Jabal , who has been leading him since 2008, and with which all the major achievements in the history of the club from Al-Hasa are associated.
Al-Fateh’s new mentor before the start of the 2014/15 season was former Real Madrid player Juan Jose Makeda . But he left the team after six rounds of the Pro League, in which Al-Fateh managed to achieve only one victory with five defeats [8] .
Before the start of the 2016/17 season , Al-Fateh was headed by the famous Portuguese football player Ricardo Sa Pinto . But his stay became even more fleeting: he left his post after the fourth round, following which the team scored only one point [9] . Fathi al-Jabal returned to the club, but the change of mentor did not affect the results: the club settled on the bottom of the standings, and managed to get the first victory only in the 11th round.
