Tourism in the Aland Islands is one of the elements of the economy of the Aland Islands .
Aland Islands is visited by a large number of tourists from different countries. Their flow increases significantly in the summer. From Finland , Sweden and Estonia to the islands can be reached by ferries from Turku , Helsinki , Stockholm and Tallinn . Thanks to the ferry service, tourists have the opportunity to travel around the Aland Islands by bike , motorcycle or car . In addition, airplanes of the local airline Air Γ land fly to Alan Islands, carrying passengers from the airports of Helsinki, Turku and Stockholm (flight time is one hour). Mariehamn Airport is a five minute drive from the center of Mariehamn .

About 2 million people visit the archipelago annually (most of them from Finland and Sweden ), but only ΒΌ of them stay on the islands for more than one day. In 2009, the number of such persons was 207,566 people, which is 9.9% more than in 2008. 44.3% of this number were tourists from Finland, 43.9 - from Sweden, and 11.9% - from other countries. Infrastructure
There is a developed network of hotels, restaurants and bars in the archipelago (out of 2,000 registered enterprises, 30% are employed in the tourism business). Eight local ferries ply between the islands, with the help of which tourists move around the archipelago without any problems.
