Geography
The city of Kumla is located in central Sweden and is the administrative center of the Kumla commune , which is part of the Örebro county . Kumla lies 15 kilometers south of the center of Lena, the city of Örebro , at Euro 20.
General information
Since 1965, Kumlaanstalten has been located in Kumla, the largest prison in Sweden (with 257 prisoners), which contains the most dangerous criminals, including Mikhailo Mikhailovich, the murderer of Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lind .
In 1950, one of the most famous Swedish detective writers, Haakon Nesser , was born in Kumla, and some of his novels reflect this area.
IFK Kumla Football Club plays in the 3rd league of the Swedish Championship.
