Love and betrayal

Raj ( Amitabh Bachchan ) and Puja Malhotra ( Hema Malini ) have been married for 40 years and have four sons, whom they are very proud of. All their lives they cared only about the well-being of their children. In addition to their own children, they took care of an orphaned boy Alok ( Salman Khan ), paying for his studies. Alok received a good education abroad, became a successful businessman and is now going to marry his girlfriend Arpita ( Mahima Chaudhari ). The sons of Raj already have their own families, but still receive financial assistance from their parents when they need it. Raj and Pooja, giving everything to their children, never bought a house for themselves and did not save money. But they are sure that their children will become their support.

When Raj retires, he asks his sons to decide which of them will live with their parents. However, they are not particularly pleased with this prospect. None of them have enough money and place in the house to accept their parents. Having discussed the problem, the sons decide to separate their parents and take them in turn. Raj and Puja cannot imagine life without each other, but are forced to agree with the decision of the children. But in the homes of their sons, father and mother feel a burden, and their life is becoming increasingly unbearable. To cope with this problem, Raj finds a lesson for himself and begins to write a book about his life, about love and betrayal. One of his new friends finds a publisher for his book. Only six months later, Raju and Puja manage to see each other. They decide not to leave anymore and leave their sons. They still do not know how and what they will live on. But this unknown is better for them than a painful life in separation.

Soon they meet their pupil Alok, who asks them to stay with him. He owes everything he has to his guardians and wants to take care of them in old age. Meanwhile, the good news comes: the Raj book has become a bestseller and has brought a lot of income, which will provide Raj a comfortable old age. His sons, learning about his success, hope to regain the disposition of his parents. At the award ceremony, Raj delivers a touching speech and makes it clear to everyone that he will never forgive betrayal.
