The surname of Zhedrinsky comes from ancient noble ancestors. Savva Alferievich Zhedrinsky (1533) was sent with regimental governors to the Chusovaya River with the royal charter [1] .

Their ancestor, Luka Lukic Zhedrinsky , owned estates in the middle of the XV century . His great-grandson Gregory was killed during the capture of Kazan (1552). Two Zhedrinsky were killed under Konotop (1659), and Stepan Zhedrinsky was killed by Stenka Razin in 1671 near Simbirsk .

The genus Zhedrinsky was included in Part VI of the genealogical book of the Oryol , Saratov , Tula and Penza provinces.

At the beginning of the 20th century , there were several more genera of this name in Russia .

Emblem Description
