Story

Valentine's day is approaching. On this occasion, Apu invites Homer and Marge to dinner for the fact that they had previously arranged an Apu wedding at home. This dinner does not benefit Apu - from Marge, the wife of Apu Manjula learns that not everyone in America works like Apu (18 hours a day, seven days a week). Thinking that Apu specifically avoids her in such a way, Manjula quarrels with Apu and becomes disappointed in him.

Apu decides to bombard Manjula with gifts for the rest of the week before Valentine's Day. At first, he simply writes her a love poem to the newspaper, but later begins to make rather unusual gifts - he buys a parrot singing romantic poems, sends Manjula a chocolate statue, inside which he is hidden, orders her an orchestra and so on. Because of this, other Springfield women are beginning to consider their men unromantic and the celebration of love is on the verge of collapse.

Then Homer, along with Chief Wiggum, Flanders, Dr. Hibbert and Mo, decides to follow Apu the next day to prevent him from preparing Manjula's last gift. The persecution of Apu leads them to the airport, where friends find out that Apu paid the pilot to draw the inscription “I love you, Manjula” in the sky with his biplane, and also invited Elton John to sing for Apu and Manjula. Homer's friends catch Elton and lock him in a cage, and Homer clings to a biplane and flies away with him. Unable to properly negotiate with the pilot, Homer begins to fight with him and manages to break the gas bottle and after the words "I love you" there remains a smoke trail in the sky that all women of the city perceive as a message from their beloved. Homer himself in a biplane falls into the Garden of Spiny Roses and lands with them on the back yard to Marge. Accepting this trick as a surprise from Homer, Marge forgives Homer for early inattention to her and they kiss. Meanwhile, on the roof of the Whip Up store, Elton John sings for Apu and Manjula and they also kiss.

At 5:31, Apu turns on the record, with the song: Frank Sinatra - You Make Me Feel So Young
