Nothing is known about its origin. During the reign of Claudius Orfith was a quaestor . In 51, he was appointed consul, and the emperor himself became his colleague. At the end of the year, Orfit was replaced by several consuls-suffixes. In 62/63, he was apparently the proconsul of the province of Africa. In 66, at his suggestion, May was named after Claudius , and June - Germanicus [1] . Probably in the same year he was executed on charges of Aquilius Regulus.
His son was the consul-suffice Servius Cornelius Scipio Salvidien Orfit .
