Pokoevo is located 18 km north-west of the district center Istra and 8 km from the railway station Rumyantsevo of the Riga direction , the height above sea level is 235 m [4] .
History
In the 16th — 18th centuries, Pokoevo was part of the Izhevsk camp of Dmitrovsky district , in 1782-1796 - in the Resurrection district and then in the Novopetrovsky volost of the Ruza district in the Moscow province . Under Soviet rule, from 1922, the village was part of the new Resurrection County , from June 3, 1929 as part of the Resurrection District of the Moscow Region [5] .
