The album was recorded shortly after the collapse of the Va-Bank group with a new composition of musicians, as Sklyar himself noted on this occasion: “Each of the musicians of my new composition is a musical universe that can reproduce any rock and roll sound, significant sound. The guitar plays in such a way that it convinces me. I hear the drums and I have nothing to say. ” The presentation of the disc took place on November 3 at the Moscow club “16 tons”, the release took place on November 10 [2] .
The idea of the song “Betrayal and Smuggling” arose thanks to the novel “ Queen of the South ” by contemporary Spanish writer Arturo Perez-Reverte , which contains the phrase “Betrayal and smuggling, you cannot share them with anyone.” In the text, in addition, the favorite Sklyar character Vasya-Conscience is mentioned - earlier three songs were devoted to him, and later a whole album of the same name was published [3] . The song “ Mom, we are all seriously ill ” by Viktor Tsoi , which Sklyar mastered back in 2000 for the KINOproby project, is somewhat out of the general concept of the album. The disc also has a secret soundtrack “Three zero six”, not included in the official track list and starting after a two-minute pause.
Dmitry Bebenin in a review for the site Zvuki.ru called the album “a program for those who are ready to accept a life free from land conventions and commonplace” [4] . The reviewer Denis Stupnikov in his review considered this work successful from a marketing point of view, while the conceptual component, in his opinion, is not so strong here [5] .
