Biography
Nikolai Bystritsky was born on May 12, 1970 in the city of Tselinograd (now Astana ) of the Kazakh SSR . In 1988 - 1990 he served in the Soviet Army . Since 1990, he served in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, was a fighter of the Moscow OMON [1] .
On October 3–4, 1993, Bystritsky participated in blocking the White House and in cleansing the surrounding neighborhoods from supporters of the Supreme Council. He received a gunshot wound in his hand, but after first aid he continued to carry out his duties. Heading a group of OMON fighters, Bystritsky detained several armed men, including those who resisted. He also personally destroyed one firing point, from where the fire was fired at law enforcement officers and civilians [1] .
By decree of the President of the Russian Federation of October 7, 1993 for “courage and heroism shown in the performance of a special task”, police sergeant Nikolai Bystritsky was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Russian Federation [2] .
He continued to serve in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Initially, he served in the Moscow SOBR , then in the TsUBOP of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. He graduated from the Moscow Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation . He participated in the first Chechen war, made three business trips. He took part in the storming of the village of Pervomaiskoye in January 1996 , was awarded the Order of Courage [1] .
