Biography

Alexander Galle was born on April 17, 1976 in the village of Sadovoye, Moscow Region, Chui Oblast, Kyrgyz SSR . By nationality German . Together with his family he moved to the village of Krasny Yar in the Novosibirsk region of the Novosibirsk region , where he graduated from school No. 30. On December 13, 1994, Galle was called up to serve in the Internal Troops of the Russian Federation. Until June 1995, he served in the 4th training company of the training battalion of military unit number 3287 in Novosibirsk , then was transferred to military unit number 3377 in Zheleznogorsk . On September 4, 1995, Galle wrote a report on the secondment to the “hot spot”, and in October of that year he retired as a driver-mechanic of an armored personnel carrier of a special forces group in Chechnya . As part of the combined detachment of special forces "Lynx" of the Siberian District of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, he performed special tasks [1] .

March 6 - 9, 1996, during street battles in Grozny Galle, he was part of an assault group to eliminate militants in the Oktyabrsky District . Despite massive enemy fire, he broke through three times from the battlefield to Khankala , where he took out more than twenty wounded and dead in an armored personnel carrier. The Halle armored personnel carrier could not break through for more than a day. When he was declared dead, he returned alive.

On May 18, 1996, 2 armored personnel carriers with special forces detachments left to conduct engineering reconnaissance along the railway track in the Dzhalka- Khankala section. An armored personnel carrier controlled by Halle was blown up by a disguised landmine. Since the explosion occurred under the left front wheel, the entire blow fell on Galle, but he, losing consciousness, managed to get the car to a safe place. From his wounds he died [1] .

Rewards

By decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated December 31, 1997 for “courage and heroism shown during the performance of a special task”, Sergeant Alexander Galle was posthumously awarded the high title of Hero of the Russian Federation . By order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia dated January 27, 2003, Halle was forever enlisted in the lists of personnel of military unit number 3377 [1] .
