Dergehan ( Persian درگهان ) is a small port city in southern Iran , in the province of Hormozgan . It is part of the Keshm shakhrestan . According to the census, in 2006 the population was 7,996 people [1] .

Geography
The city is located in the central part of Hormozgan, on the northern coast of the island of Keshm , at an altitude of 25 meters above sea level [2] . Dergehan is located approximately 26 kilometers southwest of Bandar Abbas , the provincial capital and 1060 kilometers south-east (SSE) from Tehran , the country's capital. The nearest airport is Keshm [2] .
