Biography
Sergei Filippovich Pushkaryov was born on November 7 (20), 1902 in the village of Lyubitskoye (now the Pugachevsky District of the Saratov Region).
He graduated from high school.
Pre-war time
In May 1924, Pushkarev was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army .
With the graduation of the regimental school in 1925, he served as commander of the department, assistant commander of a platoon of extra-long service, foreman of a regimental school, commander of a rifle and training platoon of the 6th Infantry Regiment ( 2nd Infantry Division ).
In 1932 he graduated from courses at the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee in Moscow , after which he served in the same regiment as the commander of a rifle company, the commander and political instructor of a training battalion company.
From January 1936 he served as chief of staff of the training battalion and chief of the regimental school of the 5th Infantry Regiment of the 2nd Infantry Division, and from January 1939, he served as commander of the battalion of the 39th Infantry Regiment.
In December 1939 he was appointed to the post of teacher, assistant to the battalion commander and assistant to the head of the training department of the Minsk Infantry School , renamed in April 1941 as a tank school .
World War II
Since the beginning of World War II, he was in the same position, participated in the evacuation of the school.
In July 1941, he was appointed assistant head of the training department of the 2nd Ulyanovsk Tank School named after M. I. Kalinin.
Sergey Filippovich Pushkarev took part in battles on the fronts of World War II from July 1942 with the appointment of the chief of staff of the 213rd separate tank brigade ( 20th Army , Western Front ). He took part in the Rzhev-Sychev operation and the operation "Mars" .
In 1943 he graduated from accelerated academic courses at the Military Academy of the Armored and Mechanized Forces of the Red Army named after I.V. Stalin .
In March 1943 he was appointed commander of the 39th Separate Tank Regiment ( 38th Army ). Participated in the Belgorod-Kharkov operation and the battle of the Dnieper . He distinguished himself during the crossing of the Desna and the Dnieper , the retention of the Lutezh bridgehead and the liberation of Kiev . In the battles he was shell-shocked.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 10, 1944, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Filippovich Pushkaryov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 2624).
Since December 1943, he commanded the 150th separate tank brigade . He participated in the Zhytomyr-Berdychiv , Rivne-Lutsk , Proskurov-Chernivtsi , Lviv-Sandomierz , Sandomierz-Silesian and Upper Silesian operations , and in the fall of 1944 - in the battles at the Sandomierz bridgehead .
On April 28, 1945, he took command of the 6th Guards Mechanized Lviv Order of Lenin with the Red Banner Order of the Suvorov Corps [1] ( 4th Guards Tank Army , 1st Ukrainian Front , guard corps Colonel Orlov, Vasily Fedorovich died of his wounds on March 18, 1945) . With a distinguished corps, he participated in Berlin and Prague operations , distinguished himself surrounded by a German group in Berlin .
During the war, Pushkaryov was mentioned ten times in gratitude in the orders of the Supreme Commander [2] .
Post-War Career
On June 27, 1945, Sergei Filippovich Pushkaryov was awarded the title of Major General of Tank Forces .
From June 20, 1945 to October 1945, he commanded the 6th Guards Mechanized Division ( Central Group of Forces ), and after its transformation in October 1946, the 6th Guards Separate Personnel Mechanized Regiment .
From August 1948 to May 1949 he served as deputy commander of the 4th Guards Separate Tank Division ( Group of Soviet Forces in Germany ).
In 1950 he graduated from the Higher Academic Courses at the K.E. Voroshilov Higher Military Academy .
Since August 1950, he worked as head of the Ulyanovsk Guards Tank School named after V.I. Lenin .
In February 1960, Sergei Filippovich Pushkarev retired, after which he lived in Minsk . He died on September 8, 1976 . He was buried in the East (Moscow) cemetery .

- At the Eastern (Moscow) cemetery of Minsk, a tombstone was installed on the grave.
- The memorial plaque in memory of Pushkarev was erected by the Russian military-historical society on the building of the Lyubitsky high school, where he studied.
