Eastern goatskin [2] , or Galega eastern [3] ( lat. Galéga orientális Lam.) - perennial herbaceous plant, polycarpic herbaceous ; a species of the genus Goat family of the legume family ( Fabaceae ) to the genus Galega (Galega L.), which contains 8 species common in Europe, the Balkans, the Middle Sea, Asia Minor, and also in East Africa

Content

Botanical Description

Large branched rhizome plant with erect stems up to 2 m or more.

Cirrus leaves are oval.

Inflorescences from bright lilac flowers in the amount of 25–70. Pollinated by bees.

Beans are from 2 to 4 cm long, contain from five to eight seeds of yellowish-green color, when ripe they become light brown.

Economic Significance and Application

It is cultivated as a fodder plant , honey plant and nitrogen fixer .
