Geographical position

The village is located in the northern part of the district, on the left bank of the Moksha River, 1.5 km from the riverbed, on the high left terrace. The distance to the district center of Sasovo is 17 km to the south-west along an asphalt road. The nearest railway station is Sasovo .

Nearest settlements:

  • Demushkino - 1 km east on an asphalt road;
  • Smirnovka - 6 km south along a dirt road;
  • Koshibeyevo - 2.5 km along a dirt (4.5 km on asphalt) road to the west.

Nature

Located in the zone of mixed forests, on the radical left bank of the floodplain of the Moksha River.

Climate

The climate is temperate continental with moderately hot summers (average July temperature +19 ° C) and relatively cold winters (average January temperature −11 ° C). Precipitation is about 600 mm per year.

Relief

The relief is heterogeneous, but the relief-forming processes are poorly visible - there are no ravines, and the beams are covered with dense tree and shrub thickets.

Soil

Soils are mainly sandy loam.

Vegetation

Of tree species, natural deciduous forests (birch, aspen) and forest shelter belts (birch, oak) predominate. The rest of the unleached territory is plowed up.

History

Administrative division

Since 1861, the village of Barashevo was part of the Lasitsky volost of the Elatom district of the Tambov province . From 2004 to the present, the village has been part of the Demushkinsky rural settlement . Until that moment, it was part of the Rozhkovsky rural district .

Only about 60 houses, but not all of them are residential. Many houses are used only in summertime as summer cottages.

There are no agricultural or industrial enterprises.

Infrastructure

Road Network

A transit asphalt road passes through the village - Lesnaya street. All houses are located along it from two sides.

Transport

0.5 km south of the village runs the Sasovo - Lasitsa highway, along which the eponymous bus route connects with the district center.

Engineering Infrastructure

Barashevo is not gasified . The village receives electricity through a transit power line of 10 kV from the substation 35/10 kV "Rozhkovo", located in the village of Demushkino .

Interesting Facts

  • One of the few settlements in the Sasovsk district , in which all houses have direct access to the paved road (asphalt).
