Biography
Born May 3, 1923 in the village of Novolozovatka, Krivorozhsky district, in a working class family. Ukrainian.
In 1941 he graduated from nine classes of a rural school. He worked as an accountant in the Maykainzoloto trust. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1948.
Battle Path
In August 1941, he submitted an application for dispatch to the front. In the army, he completed a course of artillery training. In the battles of World War II from May 1943. He fought on the Western , 3rd Belorussian fronts. Participated in the liberation of Belarus, Lithuania. He participated in the battles for East Prussia.
On June 29-30, 1944, foreman I.M. Kudin, in battles for the city of Borisov, Minsk Region, under direct enemy fire, set a cannon for direct fire and destroyed three enemy firing points. Among the first, at the improvised means, I crossed the Berezina River and, adjusting the fire of platoon guns, ensured the crossing of regiment units and the capture of the bridgehead on the right bank of the river.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945 “for courage and courage shown in crossing the river and in the battles for the liberation of the city of Borisov”, Sergeant Major Ivan Nazarovich Kudin was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 7218).
Labor Path
After the war, I. M. Kudin was discharged. He lived and worked in the city of Buguruslan, Orenburg region. In 1961 he graduated from the Donetsk Institute of Soviet Trade . He worked in the catering system. Since 1969 he lived in Kiev. He died on November 24, 1983. He was buried in Kiev at the Lukyanovsky military cemetery .
