Biography
Under the pseudonym Tom Tit, Arthur Hood wrote articles for the weekly La Science Amusante. In them, he explained physical experiments carried out in everyday life, with the help of various objects he clearly demonstrated well - known geometric theorems, talked about entertaining scientific games and how to conduct small amateur experiments.
In 1890, L'Illustration magazine published with a continuation of his book for children "Entertaining Science", illustrated by engravings by Louis Poillier . The book describes simple scientific experiments that the author put together with his son. The work is still being republished in the form of a book by the publishing house Laruss [2] . In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the experiments of Titus were also popular in Russia, several of his books were published. [3]
