Mikhail Evgenievich Shaposhnikov (born 1956, Sochi ) is a Russian theoretical physicist , professor at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne , head of the laboratory of particle physics and cosmology.

Biography
In 1979 he graduated from Moscow State University . In 1982 he defended his thesis at the Institute for Nuclear Research on the topic βGeneration of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe in the SO (10) modelβ. [one]
From 1982 to 1986 - a junior researcher, from 1986 to 1991 - a senior researcher at the Institute for Nuclear Research . From 1991 to 1998 - an employee of CERN .
In 1998 he was appointed professor of theoretical physics at the University of Lausanne , in 1999 he became director of the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the University of Lausanne.
Since October 2003, professor at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne , head of the laboratory of particle physics and cosmology.
