Career
Janet Nowitzki began figure skating in her early childhood at Slavka Kohauta. Later, she began to use the name Lynn instead of the last name. At the age of 13, she won the US Junior Championships and rarely performed the triple salchow jump performed by women at that time. This showed her natural jumping ability. Having taken third place in the national championship in 1968, 14-year-old Janet Lynn qualified for the 1968 Olympics , where she took ninth place. At the 1968 World Cup, she also finished ninth.
