Title

The novel is named for the district of the city of Samara of the same name , under which most of the real Samara metro passes, one of the stations of which has the same name.

Book Design

The cover of the book is designed in the style of the Metro 2033 series, but has an interesting feature - it depicts a portrait of the author. In this regard, to the question of Andrei Shcherbak-Zhukov “how to save your face while working as part of an inter-author project”, Sergey Paliy joked that he already “saved his face with a circulation of 70 thousand” and showed the book “Metro 2033. Bezymyanka” with a portrait on cover. [one]

Annotation

The world is destroyed by atomic warfare, the city of Samara is surrounded by a certain “Frontier” beyond which it is impossible to get out, and an eternal drizzle stands above the city. The Samara Metro is divided into two camps - the "City" with its purity, order and prosperity, and the "Bezymyanka" mired in devastation, poverty and banditry. The day, which was supposed to be the day of the conclusion of peace, becomes the day of war. A resident of the "City", the main character named "Oleg Oris" Oleg Isakov, his assistant Yegor Vaksa and girlfriend Eve, who lives on the territory of Bezymyanka, has to uncover a political conspiracy, break through the entire Bezymyanka and get to some mythical Samara control panel .

Characters

In an interview, the author of the book admitted that “the main character - Oleg Isakov, the negotiator of the diplomatic department - he wrote from himself. "Brave kid Vaksu - from his brother, and the main character - from his beloved girl." [2]

Possible Continuation

Sergei Paly mentioned that he might write a sequel [2] , but not earlier than a year later.

Reviews and criticism

Arseny Krymov from the magazine “ Fantasy World ” noted “a whole gallery of bright, reliable characters” and believes that “the book will not disappoint either fans of purely project fiction or fans of science and social fiction more seriously. Respecting the canons of the genre and the laws adopted in the universe, the author did not sacrifice creative freedom, creating a fascinating and original story. ” [3]

The founder of the series, Dmitry Glukhovsky himself, spoke about the book by Sergey Paliy: [4]

It is written well, artistically. The language is interesting, intricate, bright. The plot is tense, like a stretched string. And I did not interfere. I just discussed some plot points with Sergey - he made several improvements, and the novel became even brighter, more piercing. An interesting thing happened. A worthy continuation of the saga. ”
