On October 6, 1985, in Canberra, as part of the GDR national team ( Sabine Rieger , Marlies Gör , Ingrid Auerswald ), set a world record in the relay 4x400 m (41.37 s), which lasted until 2012.

In the early years of her sports career, Zilke Möller was in the shadow of her friends on the command of Marlies Göhr , Marita Koch , Heike Drexler . Only in 1987, becoming a two-time world champion, she, then still under the maiden name Gladisch, became one of the strongest women sprinters in East Germany and was named the athlete of the year in the GDR. In 1988, at the Olympic Games in Seoul, already under the name Möller, she won a silver medal in the relay 4x100 meters.

In 1992, she, along with other former GDR athletes, Catherine Krabbe and Grit Broer she was involved in a doping scandal, but later the IAAF dropped all charges against her.

Shortly after the 1992 Olympics, she left sports, studied history in Rostock , and then worked as a teacher of history and physical education. Has a daughter, Christine.
