The Ice Palace opened in June 2012, it consists of two ice arenas: the main one with 3,500 seats and a training one with 850 seats. The main arena was the home ground of the Kuban hockey club , the Golden Eagles of the Kuban team from the youth hockey league played at the training arena. Both arenas are of the highest level, now they are playing games of amateur leagues and youth championships.
The ice palace is open both for mass skiing and for training of amateur teams. For the first time, Krasnodarians got the opportunity to go skating on this “Olympic” ice and learn figure skating skills and sports games on an ice field measuring 30 by 60 meters.
In addition to sporting events, the Ice Palace hosts the largest ice shows in Russia. The ice show of Ilya Averbukh "Odnoklassniki" and the musical "Lights of the Big City", the gala-concert of the ice show " Ice Age ", "The Ice Show of Champions" with Adelina Sotnikova , Xenia Stolbova , Fedor Klimov and Irina Slutskaya were already held here.
In addition, the arena of the ice palace is capable of hosting music concerts, for example, in June 2014, the Placebo band performed here.
