Biography
He studied with F. Dugan, Fran Lhotka and Blagoe Bersa at the Academy of Music (graduated in 1933 ) in Zagreb , taught there (from 1949 - professor, in 1961 - 1971 - dean of the composer department). Author of music-critical articles. In the early works he relied on national folklore , later turned to neoclassicism , and joined the avant-garde .
