Kayetan Kraszewski (b. March 11, 1827 , Dolhe, Pruzhany district ; died July 1, 1896 , p. Old Kuplin, the same district) —the famous Polish writer. Author of a large number of novels and plays, as well as the history of the Kraszewski family. The younger brother Jozef Kraszewski .

He is the author of narratives and dramas, historical sketches ( From the memories of castellans , Polish. Ze wspomnień kasztelanica ( 1883 )), “General Philip Howman and the Malchevskys' family” ( 1888 ), “Bartokhovskie” ( 1889 ).
He was also an astronomer, composer and artist; as an amateur, he performed medallions with portraits.
