Mikhail Romanovich Garkavenko ( November 22, 1863 - after 1917) - Cherkasy businessman and mayor, member of the III State Duma from the Kiev province.

Biography
Orthodox. Personal honorary citizen . Homeowner of the city of Cherkasy .
At the end of the city school he was engaged in commercial activities. He owned a brick and sawmill. In 1898 he was elected the vowel of the Cherkasy City Council , and in 1901 - the mayor . Since 1900 he was an honorary guardian of the city parish school.
On October 11, 1908, he was elected to the State Duma in the by- election at the place of the deceased priest K. N. Roznatovsky , while retaining the position of mayor. He was a member of the moderate-right faction, from the 3rd session - in the Russian national faction. He was a rapporteur of the commission on ways of communication, a member of the commissions: on trade and industry, on the working issue, on ways of communication, on city affairs.
He was a full member of the Kiev Club of Russian Nationalists [1] , headed the Cherkasy department of the All-Russian National Union [2] .
Fate after 1917 is unknown. Was married.
