The Republican Public Association “Federation of Water Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (RPO “FVVS”) was formed on April 27, 1998. RPO “FVVS” is an active member of FINA (international amateur swimming federation federations and defining the main directions of development of the most popular water sports , as well as an active member of the AASF (Asian Swimming Federation). ROO FVVS assists the development of international sports relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan on aquatic sports, strengthening ties with sports international organizations, representing athletes of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the international arena, participation in Kazakhstan and international sports events and sports competitions in water sports.

The main activities of the FVVS
- Organization and holding of inter-regional, international sports competitions in water sports;
- Organizing and conducting sports events to improve the skills of sports professionals in the field of water sports: seminars, conferences, lectures, exhibitions and consultations, etc .;
- Development and adoption within the competence of the Federation of regulatory, regulatory and other documents, monitoring their implementation;
- Providing conditions for successful performance of sports teams of the Republic of Kazakhstan on water sports at competitions at various levels;
- Development and strengthening of interregional and international relations;
- Cooperation with the physical, legal and public law entities that share and support the statutory goals of the Federation;
- Training of sports judges in water sports and the organization of their work;
- Creation of favorable conditions for the unification of specialists in the field of water sports for the purposes of professional unity, exchange of experience, the realization of the creative, scientific potential of the Federation members, the expansion of the range of water sports, and the improvement of the skills of current athletes.
