“Lean Startup" (from the English. Lean Startup ) - the concept of entrepreneurship. It was first formulated by Eric Rhys first on the blog www.startuplessonslearned.com, then in the book “Business from scratch. Lean Startup method for quick testing of ideas and choosing a business model ” [1] [2] [3] . Rice combines the principles, approaches, and practices of concepts such as lean manufacturing , customer development, and a flexible development methodology .
Lean startup is a concept of creating companies, developing and launching new products and services on the market, based on concepts such as a scientific approach to startup management, proven training, conducting experiments, iterative release of products to shorten the development cycle, measuring progress, and gaining valuable customer feedback. Using this approach, companies can design products and services that meet the expectations and needs of customers without the need for a large amount of initial financing or costly product launches.
Key Principles
- generalization of the hypotheses of entrepreneurs in the form of a business model canvas This is essentially a schematic depiction of how a company creates value for itself and its customers.
- hypothesis testing and feedback using the “go outside the office” approach; in the terminology of lean startups, this approach is called customer development .
- using agile product development techniques . This is a process in which startups create minimal viable products that they then test.
Initially, the concept was formed on the basis of the activities of technology companies in Silicon Valley. Later, the lean startup philosophy expanded its horizons, as a result of which it can be applied to a single person, team, company or even state who wants to develop and market a new product or service [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] .
