Loova ( lat. Lovoa ) is a genus of trees of the Meliyev family . Species of this genus grow in the equatorial and subequatorial zones of Africa in the following countries: Gabon , Ghana , Democratic Republic of Congo , Cameroon , Cote d'Ivoire , Liberia , Nigeria , Sierra Leone , Equatorial Guinea . The species Lovoa trichilioides is listed in the Red Book [2] as vulnerable.

In the woodworking industry
The log has a diameter of 60 to 120 centimeters, the thickness of sapwood is 3-7 centimeters (clearly expressed), the texture is fine. The wood color is brown, yellow-brown or gray-brown with black stripes or veins with a golden sheen, with black deposits in the pores.
