Nummi ( Fin. Nummi , sometimes - Nummenmyaki, Nummenpaka, Nummenpakka or just Pakka ; in Swedish - Nummis Swede. Nummis or Nummisbaken ) is one of the districts of Turku that is part of the Central Territorial District and partly in the Nummi Halinen District.

Geographical position
The district forms one of the suburbs of Turku and is located northeast of the central part of the city south of the Aura River .
History
The area is one of Turku's oldest suburbs. It included former village settlements - Hannunniietu (Hannunniittu) and Kuuvuori (Kuuvuori). Later, a student village was built on the territory of the district - the largest student village in Turku.
On the territory of the district is one of the medieval churches - the church of St. Catherine of Alexandria . The church was built in 1351 and is currently one of Finland's cultural heritage sites. [one]
Population
The district is one of the four most densely populated in Turku: in 2004, the population of the district was 7,011 people, of which children under 15 years old - 10.03%, and over 65 years old - 8.17%. 87.98% spoke Finnish as their mother tongue, 5.65% spoke Swedish, and 6.38% of the population spoke other languages.
