Biography
The son of a priest.
In 1876, at the end of the course of the Imperial Medical-Surgical Academy in St. Petersburg , he remained a resident at the clinic of Professor V. M. Tarnovsky . Since 1881, he headed the syphilitic zemstvo hospital in Kazan . In 1882, he defended a dissertation at the alma mater on the topic: “On the question of changes in the lymphatic glands with hard and soft chancres (pathoanatomical research)”, receiving a doctorate in medicine. At the same time, he was elected privat-docent of syphilology at Kazan University . Since 1892, he was elected an extraordinary professor in the department of skin and sexually transmitted diseases at Tomsk University , became the first head of this department and remained in this position until the end of his life.
In addition to his dissertation, he printed: “Syphilis in relation to marriage” (“Diaries of the Kazan Society of Doctors”, 1884), “On the spread of syphilis and sexually transmitted diseases in the Tomsk province” (“University News”, 1897), “On the issue of medical police supervision of prostitution in Tomsk ”(The Physician, 1896) and others.
Member of the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878 .
He died in 1908 (according to other sources - 1918).
