Dodda e

Dodda e

Dodda e (large e), dirga svara e , ekaravu ( cann. ಏಕಾರವು ) - letter of the Kannada alphabet, denotes the long (dirga svara) unbroken vowel of the front row of the middle-upper rise , used at the beginning of the word, transmitted inside the word using interline contact diacritic sign (svarachikhnam) etwa dirga , which is written in the upper right corner of the letter. Unlike the gudis deerga , etwa is written together with talekattu and does not depend on the form of the letter (it does not have a segmented spelling). At first, the words Ekaravu are pronounced with the sound "Y".
