A freshwater pond located in Western Greece , west of the Aheloos River. To the north is Lake Lysimachia .
Its surface area is about 10 km² . It has an average depth of 8-10 m. The lake reaches 5 km in length and 3 km in width.
The water temperature in the summer months is about 25 degrees Celsius and after winter mixing - 12-15 degrees Celsius.
