Certificate of honor of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine

The letter was established on January 5, 1998 ^[1] . Initially, only individuals were awarded with a diploma, and since April 3, 1998 also labor collectives of enterprises, institutions and organizations ^[2] . On December 26, 2003, a new provision on literacy was approved, a Commission on the issues of awarding the Certificate of Honor was formed and the provision on it was approved ^[3] .

On August 20, 2008, the current provisions on literacy and on the award commission were approved.

The certificate of honor is an award for many years of conscientious work, exemplary performance of official duties, personal contribution to the economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural, military, social and other spheres of activity and services to the Ukrainian people in facilitating the establishment of a state based on the rule of law and taking measures to ensure protection the rights and freedoms of citizens, the development of democracy , the effective operation of executive bodies and local governments.

Citizens of Ukraine are awarded with an honorary diploma for achievements in work and personal contribution to one or several areas of activity, as well as labor collectives of enterprises, institutions and organizations for high production and scientific achievements.

Citizens of other states may be awarded with an honorary diploma.

The certificate of honor, as a rule, is awarded to persons who were previously encouraged by relevant departmental awards.

The letter of honor is signed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine .

The commemorative sign is worn on the chest on the left and placed after the state awards of Ukraine .

Initially, from December 26, 2003, the commission was headed by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine ^[3] , from November 22, 2005 - the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine (in charge of humanitarian and social policy), from April 12, 2010 he was again the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers ^{[4 ]} , and from May 11, 2011 - the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine ^[5] .

The commission works on a voluntary basis and meets once a month.
