When Jeff Swampy Marsh and Dan Poevenmire worked on the animated series Nickelodeon 's New Life of Rocco , they always had two things in the series that they worked on: a musical number and a chase scene. When creating the animated series “ Phineas and Ferb ” they wanted to include all these things in this series ^[2] .
