Stoyanka Novakovich ( Serbian. Stojanka Novaković / Stoanka Novakovi ), better known under the pseudonym Stoya ( Serbian. Stoja / Stoja ; born June 4, 1972 in Perlesa ) is a Yugoslav and Serbian singer in the style of turbo-folk.

Biography

She graduated from the primary school of Perles and the secondary school of Zrenjanin . He took up singing in early childhood, inherited the talent from his father, Milan. In the school choir was the first voice. She began her career at the age of 26, recording the album “Kako je meni sada”. She recorded her albums mainly on the Grand Production label, which was owned by the Bosnian singer Lepa Brena. The parking lot took the pseudonym Stoya, under which he now stands. It is considered one of the most popular singers in the Balkans. In 2000, she became the singer of the year in Serbia, in 2005 she won a similar title in Bosnia. The most famous singles of Stoi are the songs "Ćiki, ćiki", "Samo idi" and "Umri". He lives in Belgrade.
