George Heyward ( George Jonas Whitaker Hayward , 1839-1870) - an English traveler who visited in 1868, following the Schlagintwait brothers, for scientific purposes, East Turkestan . He determined the position of Kashgar and Yarkend . He fell victim to the suspicion of the natives in the Yassin Valley in 1870. See Gayward's letters in Proceedings of the R. Geogr.
