The Greek anti-Soviet counter-revolutionary rebel espionage underground organization is a non-existent organization, the case of which was fabricated by the NKVD to justify repressions among the Greeks of Ukraine and end its indigenous policy.
The organization’s goals were allegedly the preparation of a Greek uprising in the rear of the Red Army , espionage and subversion. At the same time, the underground organization allegedly maintained ties with similar counter-revolutionary organizations of the North Caucasus , Abkhazia , Crimea , the right-wing Trotskyist organization of Donbass, and Ukrainian nationalists.
Arrests were carried out from December 1937 until the beginning of 1938 in Mariupol , Stalin , Kharkov , Odessa and Kiev . In the case of the organization, almost everyone related to the Hellenization policy, as well as to the activities of Greek cultural and educational organizations, was arrested: the former head of the Greek section of the Central Commissariat of National Minorities S. Yali, the secretary of the regional executive committee P. Bogaditsa, all employees of the Greek newspaper “ Collectivitis ” Pioneris magazine and Donetsk Regional Greek Publishing House ( G. Kostoprav , A. Dimitriou, G. Kudakovtsev, F. Yali, L. Leo, M. Tislek, A. Megilbey, X Haraman, H. Akritas, F. Samarchidi, K. Skilis), teachers s part of the Greek Pedagogical School and Greek School Mariupolschiny (I. Levopulos, I. Beshevli, M. Spinzha, Lelnidas G. et al.), former members of the Greek National Theater, the members of the houses of the peoples of the East in Kharkov, Kiev and Odessa.
