Bronze medalist of the World Cup (1967) in the team. At the World Cup (1971) was a substitute.
Winner of the 4th Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR (1967) in the individual championship.
At the USSR Championships he won a gold medal in the individual championship (1967).
At the 1970 World Cup, he was one of the coaches that led the USSR national team to victory in the team championship.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel of the USSR Armed Forces. In the period from 1975 to 1985, he held senior positions in CSKA (senior coach, head of the modern pentathlon team).
