Karl Joseph Ebert ( him Karl Joseph Eberth ; September 21, 1835 , Würzburg - December 2, 1926 , Berlin ) - German anatomist and histologist , as well as a bacteriologist .

Biography
Karl Josef Ebert studied medicine at the University of Würzburg [1] .
In 1859, Doctor of Medicine, in 1865, was invited as a professor of pathological anatomy to Zurich, where from 1874 he was reading pathology, histology and embryology at the veterinary school [1] .
In 1881, he was transferred to a professor of histology and comparative anatomy at Halle , where from 1895 he was reading pathological anatomy and pathology and was the director of the Pathological Institute [1] .
Ebert's scientific work mainly concerns histology and pathological anatomy [1] .

- "Ueber den Bau und die Entwicklung der Blutcapillaren" (2 hours, "Würzb. Naturw. Zeitschr.", 1866-67);
- "Ueber den feineren Bau der Lunge" ("Zeitschr. F. Wiss. Zool.", 1865);
- "Untersuchungen über die Leber der Wirbelthiere" ("Arch. F. Micr. Anat.", 1867);
- Die Trombose (together with Schimmelbush, Stuttg., 1888);
- Die Elemente der Quergestreiften Muskeln (Arch. F. Path. Anat. U. Phys., 1866);
- “Ueber Kern- und Zelltheilung” (“Arch. F. Path. Anat. U. Phys.”, 1876) and many others.
In addition, Ebert published the 4th edition of Friedlander's Mikroskopische Technik (B., 1889). Since 1890, he edited the magazine Fortschritte der Medicin together with Kursakhman.
