Content
Story
A young woman named Gene Rice comes from London to a small English town to see her relatives: grandfather Billy, the former star of the music halls, Phoebe's stepmother, prone to tantrums, and Archie's father, the star of the local comedy show. Archie’s business is worse than ever, he faces bankruptcy, and none of the producers want to allocate funds for his new performance. Therefore, when Archie meets a rich young girl who wants to start a career as an actress, he decides to seize this chance to get financing, despite the fact that it threatens to destroy his family ...
