Miss Earth 2002 ( Eng. Miss Earth 2002 ) is the second Miss Earth beauty pageant held at Quezon City (Philippines) on October 29, 2002 [1] [2] . The competition was attended by representatives of 53 countries, which exceeded the number of contestants in the Miss International 2002 competition, so it became the third largest international beauty contest in the number of participants [3] [4] .

The winner was the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jail Glavovich, who also received the title Miss Talent [5] [6] . However, on May 28, 2003, the Miss Earth Foundation officially stripped her of her title due to her "non-compliance with the terms of the contract." Her title was transferred to the first vice-miss, a member from Kenya Winfred Omwakwe [7] [8] . The official coronation ceremony of the new Miss Earth took place on August 7, 2003 in Carousel Gardens, Mandalong, Philippines [9] [10] .
