Bleu noir (song)

"Bleu Noir" is Milen Farmer's second single, recorded in collaboration with Moby, after their joint single, " Slipping Away (Crier la vie) ." On January 23, 2011, it was announced that “Bleu Noir” would be the second single from the album ^[1] , and on March 17, Universal Music announced on its website that the release was scheduled for April 18. ^[2]

Remix versions of the song, titled 'Jérémy Hills remix' and 'Glam as you radio mix', were sent to radio on March 10 and 31, respectively. Formats, track lists and covers were officially presented on March 24 and 25. ^[3]

Moby, the songwriter, also released his version of the track in May, with different lyrics and arrangements. It is called “ The Day ” and became the official single from his new album. ^[4] However, this release caused controversy among fans of Mylene Farmer, as many of them criticized the fact that he wrote music for the singer and then rewrote it for his album. In an interview published in the Belgian newspaper Le Soir on May 18, 2011, Moby said he was very embarrassed and considered the release of “The Day” as a single “a mistake,” because Farmer was disappointed thinking “it was her song” ^[5] .
