"Registan" ( Uzbek. "Registón" ) is a branded fast train running on the route Tashkent - Samarkand and Samarkand - Tashkent three times a week. Named after the famous square - Registan in Samarkand .

History
At the end of the 20th century, Samarkand, as a city with a centuries-old history and cultural heritage, began to attract more and more tourists from different parts of the world, but trains running from Tashkent ceased to meet European standards of comfort and ergonomics, which served to create a new, comfortable train with improved ergonomics and in accordance with European standards. The train was named "Registan", consisting of 6 cars - 3 economy-class cars, 2 business-class cars and 1 restaurant-car with a bar and a buffet. The first flight took place on May 20, 2003.
Car Specifications
Passenger compartment car with seating for mod. 61-4170 is intended for the transportation of passengers on the main routes of the Ministry of Railways of 1520 mm gauge with a speed of 200 km / h. The design of the car fully meets the requirements of sanitary standards for lighting, ergonomics, microclimate, noise and vibration, fire safety requirements.
The tightness and streamlining of the structure provides a reduction in air resistance when driving at high speeds in the composition of the same type of wagons.
The side walls and floor are made of stainless steel sheets, which allowed to reduce the tare weight of the body and increase its service life without repair work.
An air conditioning unit with a turbocompressor (2400 rpm) provides, with the help of a microprocessor device, in the warm season, automatic control of the air temperature in the car within 24 ° C.
The new design of windows, the use of new thermal insulation provides a higher level of sound absorption and allows to reduce the heat transfer coefficient, which in turn implies energy savings and increased comfort.
Environmentally friendly closed toilet systems (vacuum-discharge type with storage tank), uninterruptedly functioning, allow you to use them when driving (and in suburban areas) and in parking lots.
The maximum speed that the train develops is 160 km / h.
