Career
Club
The first professional club in the career of Philippe Bergero was Bordeaux . The goalkeeper has been playing for the club since 1971 for seven years, after which he moved to Lille . From 1983 to 1988, Philippe Bergero played for Toulouse , after which he completed his career as a player. In total in Division 1, the goalkeeper spent 485 matches in 17 seasons; this is the 26th result in the history of the championships of the country. [1] .
Team
Philippe Bergero made his debut in the French team on October 10, 1979 in a friendly match with the United States [2] . The goalkeeper fell into the application of the national team for participation in the European Championship — 1984 and the World Championship — 1986 , but did not play a single match in these tournaments.

Coaching

From July to October 2002, Bergero was the head coach of Rennes , however, in 10 rounds of the championship, the team under his leadership won only one victory.
After leaving Rennes, Bergero worked with France’s youth teams of various ages. In 2004, he led the national team to 17 years of age to victory in the European Championship.
