History
The section of the road that is now used as a steam railway was opened by Ryde and Newport Railway in 1875. In the period from 1887 to 1923 it was used by the Isle of Wight Central Railway company [1] .
Stations
The railway connects four stations:
- Smallbrook Junction - used to transfer to the electrified Island Line . Opened in new quality in 1991.
- Ashe - opened in new quality in 1991.
- Havenstreet - opened in new quality in 1971.
- Wotton - opened in new quality in 1971.
