Faye Deborah White ( born February 2, 1978 in Horley) is an English soccer player who is known for playing for London’s women's Arsenal and England . One of the most famous football players in England.

Career

Club

Pupil of the Horsham Ladies club, the Horley Town team farm club. She spent three years there, after which she entered the Arsenal Academy. The first coach was Jim Muir, who helped Faye break into the core of the team when the girl was just 14 years old. The debut in the team took place already in the 1996/1997 season. In the 1997/1998 season, for the first time she won the title of best player in the Premier League. She won only 31 sets of awards, 10 times became the champion of England, 9 times won the FA Cup and 6 times the League Cup. Issued four "doubles" and one "golden poker". In March 2013, she announced her retirement [4] .

Team

In 1997, she made her debut in the national team in a match against Scotland at the age of 19 years [5] . In 2002 she became the captain of the national team. She participated in the European Championships 2001, 2005 and 2009 (in the last championship she played with a mask on her face due to a cheekbone injury) [6] . She stopped playing for the national team in April 2012 [7] .

She graduated from the middle Yattendon and Oakwood schools of Horley [8] . By education, a qualified medical massage therapist. Often works as a commentator on matches on BBC , Sky Sports , Eurosport and ESPN [9] , and also holds an official position in the club’s department for promoting women's football [9] . Promoted the application of England for the World Cup 2018 [10] .

Family

Faye has a brother who played at the Horley Town Club. In April 2012, she announced that she was expecting a baby, as a result of which she suspended training and refused to participate in the Olympic football tournament [11] . October 2, 2012 Faye gave birth to a son, whom she named Lucas [12] .
