History
The street arose in the 1st third of the 20th century under the name New . In the years 1938-1958 it was called Police Lane . The modern name in honor of the actor M.L. Kropyvnytsky - since 1958. Until the mid-1970s, it ran up to Shelkovichnaya Street (shortened due to the demolition of old buildings).
In 1944-1958, the name in honor of M. L. Kropyvnytsky was the current Salavat Yulaev Street in the area of Myshelovka .
Development
In the development of the street several eras and styles are combined. Houses No. 4, 6, and 14 are residential buildings of the beginning of the 20th century, houses No. 1, 3, 12, 16, and 18 were erected in the 1950s (“Stalinka”). Houses number 8, 10 are a typical example of modern elite multi-storey buildings in Kiev.
